Water Nymph

"Water Nymph"

One of my favorite shots from my Elemental series. It is hard to choose a favorite, I am very pleased with all of the shots! And as you can guess from the name of the series, the elements Air, Earth and Fire are also pictured. I did this for my photography final, we needed 20 "awesome" images. I chose to shoot figures representing the elements or even representing the god/goddess of that element. To see the entire body of work check out my deviantart -> http://jbeanss.deviantart.com/

Photography IV Project 1

My favorite shot from my first project in my Photography IV class. We had to photograph white objects on a white background and then black objects on a black background using different types of lighting techniques. This shot is using diffused lighting, it makes it really soft and pleasant. To see more go to my Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jbeanss/

Alberich M.

Yet another underwater photographer I have fallen in love with. He does most of his photography in some sort of black pool with classically porcelain skin models. When looking at his work I feel like a Renaissance model floated off of her painting into this ephemeral alternate world. Blogspot does not do his work justice (so small!) Check it out for real here: http://alberich.deviantart.com/

Warm Lighting Portrait

My reference photo for my upcoming warm lighting painting assignment. I love the cool lighting one as well but it's a tad blurry. I can work with it but I won't be showing the photo of it. You will all just have to wait for the painting :]

If Fire Were Water: Artist Unknown

Elena Kalis

Elena Kalis was the very first underwater photographer I found and is the one initially responsible for my current fascination with it. Please go and frolic amongst her works of art! http://www.elenakalisphoto.com/#home
